The Turkey Winter Cycling Race Series, organized by the International Bicycle Federation and the Turkish Cycling Tourism Association, started in Antalya.
32 athletes from 16 domestic and foreign teams participated in the first race of the Turkey Winter Cycling Series, which started from the historical Aspendos Antique Theater in Belkıs neighborhood in Serik district. Turkey Winter Cycling Races, consisting of 23 series and lasting for 2 months, will be held in the historical places of Antalya with the name of that place. Within the scope of the series, 1260 athletes from 76 foreign teams and 63 athletes from 4 Turkish teams will pedal.

In the race, which started from the Aspendos Antique Theatre, the athletes will pedal from the historical places in Serik to Belek tourism center and finish the race at the starting point. Athletes will fight for the first place on the 149.8 kilometer track.

Turkish Cycling Tourism Association President Recep Şamil Yaşacan said, "Turkey has won the most of the world's biggest series races. We are starting the first of these today. The Turkish Winter Cycling Races series, consisting of 23 series, will last for 2 months. The International Cycling Federation gave these races to Turkey. "All of our races will start from an ancient city or ruins in the Antalya region. Since we will start in historical places, the races are very important for the promotion of our country. We named all of our 23 races after our ancient cities. Since each athlete will share on their own social media, the races will reach millions of people." he said.
