Turkey Winter Cycling Races continue in Antalya

The second of the Turkish Winter Cycling Races Series was held in Antalya. In elite men, Ahmet Örken from Turkey and Yanina Kuskova from Uzbekistan became the winner in women's.

164 athletes, 71 of whom were women, participated in the race, which was organized under the name of "Expo Kriteryum" by the Turkish Cycling Tourism Association at the EXPO 2016 Antalya Exhibition Area in Aksu district. On the track inside the exhibition area, elite men pedaled 60.2 kilometers, elite and young women and young men 43 kilometers.

In the second series of the competition, Ahmet Örken from Turkey for elite men, Yanina Kuskova from Uzbekistan for elite women, Mustafa Tarakçı from Turkey for young men and Sevinch Yuldasheva from Uzbekistan for young women took the first place.

Turkish Cycling Tourism Association Vice President Tolga Gündüz said in a statement to reporters that Turkey will be the country with the most races in the winter season with their series.

Explaining that a total of 1260 athletes will come to the country within the scope of the project, Gündüz said, "All of the athletes contribute to cycling tourism by covering their own accommodation expenses and buying plane tickets. Our races started at the Aspendos Antique Theater yesterday. All of these races are highly preferred by the athletes as they distribute Olympic points. Our races will continue until the 15th." said.
