2nd part of Turkey Winter Cycling Races was held

Mithat ABAKAN / MANAVGAT(Antalya), (DHA) - The second leg of the 2023 Winter Cycling Races Series, organized by the Turkish Cycling Tourism Association, was held in Manavgat, Antalya.
176 local and foreign athletes participated in the men's race, which started at the Harbor Square in Side Antique City. In the 128-kilometer race that started from the Port Square, the athletes returned to Side District from the route of D-400 Highway, Çakış Junction, Deniz Tepesi District, Bereket District and D-400 Highway Örenşehir District. Sergei Rostovtsev from Russia won the first place in the course with 2 hours and 48 minutes. After the race, the medals were given to the winners by Turkish Cycling Federation President Emin Müftüoğlu. The Side leg of the Turkey stage of the 2023 Winter Cycling Race Series will continue with the women's race to be run tomorrow.
President of the Turkish Cycling Tourism Association, Recep Şamil Yaşacan, said that the 2023 Winter Cycling Race Series of 23 races will last 2 months and 1323 athletes from 84 teams, 76 of whom are foreign, will compete. Noting that all of the races will start in ancient cities, Yaşacan said, "Our first race was held in the Ancient City of Aspendos in Serik. Today we are doing it in Side." (DHA)
